Carmelle Banks is a dynamic entrepreneur and community leader, widely recognized for her innovative spirit and commitment to empowerment through education and wellness. As the founder and CEO of SwimsCool LLC, a premier mobile swim school, Coach Carmelle has built a trusted brand that brings high-quality, personalized swim lessons directly to families and organizations. Carmelle is Red Cross trained in Water Safety Instruction, and certified in CPR and First Aid. She also holds a master’s degree in Business Management and Leadership from Pepperdine University, where she honed her skills in strategic planning, ethical leadership, and organizational development.

Carmelle developed a passion for swimming at four years old and it grew stronger playing water polo at Santa Monica High School, then as a lifeguard and swim instructor at UCLA.

She combined her passion for swimming and teaching children to create her company SwimsCool. What began as an idea and small venture with a few eager preschoolers in 2016, quickly grew into a powerful mission.

Word spread quickly—first among parents on Mommy Message Boards, then through preschools and beyond. Guided by a deep commitment to youth development and water safety, she has become a sought-after expert, serving everyone from high-profile celebrities to luxury hotels in Beverly Hills and professionals throughout Santa Monica, Beverly Hills, Pacific Palisades, and Bel Air. With an unwavering passion for swimming and a gift for teaching young kids, she refined her swim instruction into an innovative, trusted method. Her instruction blends elite technique with genuine care, earning her a reputation for excellence, discretion, and lasting impact.

 Driven by a passion for water safety, she’s dedicated to teaching preschoolers how to stay safe around water—especially knowing drowning is the leading cause of death for U.S. children aged 1 to 4. With a background in swimming and water polo, she also excels at coaching older kids in proper strokes, swim test prep, and competitive techniques.

Coach Carmelle’s method is unique because it breaks down swimming into easy steps, communicates to kids in a way they resonate with, and helps them learn quickly. She is known for her fun techniques, using play, skill-building, and encouragement to boost confidence and skills they can use in and out of the pool.
